Military Customer Service/ Military Administrative Assistant- Remote

The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a Senior Protocol Specialist for California Military Department (CMD) with minimal supervision from the Chief of Protocol Director.
Individually formulates, develops, plans, coordinates, and executes official functions, events, conferences and ceremonies.
Plans, develops, coordinates and executes visits to several geographically dispersed units and commands by general officers, foreign delegations of all ranks and distinguished civilians of equivalent rank or higher.
Oversees the development of itineraries to ensure compatibility with the event to include social events, hosts, ceremonies, briefings, transportation, billeting and escort support.
Serves as primary staff advisor on all matters pertaining to protocol and customs of the Army, Air and Joint services as well as customs and courtesies of other countries.
Works in close conjunction and provides protocol-related guidance to other Protocol Personnel and Major Subordinate Units (MSC) who are responsible for executing travel, lodging, and itineraries of dignitaries.
Directs design of unique projects from inception to completion through application of innovative solutions in the use of multimedia technologies.
Manages production of electronic and printed material in the form of slides, displays, newsletters, pamphlets, web pages, posters, and leaflets for various activities.
Receives annual budget estimates for assigned positions of Command and Protocol, supplies, equipment, and contracts.
Monitors and tracks obligations and expenditures throughout the budget year.
Advises supervisor of variations and recommends the need for transfers of funds between accounts.
Prepares periodic reports on the program.
The position resides within the infrastructure and support functions of the state National Guard; the incumbent is not subject to mobilization, nor is the work described part of the military mission; and the incumbent does not perform a key advisory or essential administrative role that is inherently military.
In addition, the position must meet one of the following:
It does not have a comparable military function; the position is required in full-time (civilian) role when the organization, or similar military position, is mobilized to perform continuing post-mobilization functions; or the position requires a skill or competency that necessitates technical expertise or professional qualifications that cannot be readily found in the military structure of the state military force.
At the lower grade level of GS-09, the incumbent performs the basic duties and has the basic responsibilities as described above; however, assistance, guidance and support from the supervisor or co-workers is provided as required until statutory and performance requirements for advancement to the next higher level are met.
May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
