Position:
Wilke Window & Door, Inc.
is currently hiring for the position of Dispatch Manager at its Shiloh, Illinois location.
Candidate will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching deliveries of building material products to private residences and commercial job sites.
Candidate will also be responsible for the operation of receiving materials in an orderly and efficient manner.
Candidate will assist the Warehouse Operations Manager in supervising and managing the warehouse staff, drivers, dispatch staff, door shop staff, paint shop staff, early a.
m.
shift leader, and early a.
m.
warehouse staff.
Must monitor hours worked, overtime, absenteeism, and personnel reports for all above mentioned personnel.
Must maintain an orderly and efficient shipping and receiving operation, while ensuring the training, development and safety of staff.
2-3 years of professional experience in a management role preferred, with background in shipping/receiving, dispatch, logistics, or similar field.
Responsibilities:
Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders.
Manage all important documents such as delivery tickets.
Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders.
Supervise and lead delivery drivers, loaders, warehousemen, and dispatch staff.
Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing, and accounting managers to optimize processes.
Resolve issues regarding shipped and received orders.
Reconciles all inventory discrepancies.
Communicates with Warehouse Foreman, Purchasing, and Accounting regarding inventory issues.
Provides constant feedback to Warehouse Operations Manager regarding operational accuracy in areas such as inventory, shipping and receiving.
Manages special projects as required.
Requirements:
2 - 3 years professional experience with required Related degree preferred but not required Proficient with MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong record keeping skills Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers Must possess a high degree of organizational and time management skills.
Positive attitude and strong communication skills required.
