Additionally, direction and coaching of staff is expected.
Specifically, the individual filling this role Check in pets ensuring all critical data is recorded for proper care.
Check out pets including billing, ensuring that all belongings are in order and pets leaving facility are at the highest quality standards Prepare paperwork and records for the upcoming days intakes for daycare, grooming, boarding clients including verifying appropriate vaccinations, collecting client information ahead of arrival, confirming reservations, etc.
Safely receive pets into the facility and safely release pets to owners for pick up Monitor the progress and performance of the kennel tech, bather/brusher and groomer teams including walk throughs between each phase of own wing responsibilities, checking for standard of care and sanitation Complete new hire paperwork Oversee the quality of sanitation and cleanliness for all wings (inside and outside) in the facility (runs, suites, and cattery) Oversee the feeding and watering of all pets is completed accurately Oversee all play yards and leash walks are executed daily Maintain clean, tidy appearance in all areas of the facility including clean floors throughout the facility, clean kitchens, clean grooming areas, laundry upkeep, organized facility storage, and sanitized vetting areas.
Update computer records, complete kennel update and run reports on a daily basis Outline staffing line up for following day and confirm with staff Provide positive feedback to staff that are performing at a high level Follow up professionally with staff if there are missed opportunities or errors Escalate to management if continuous issue with a staff member not fulfilling duties Additional duties as assigned daily
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1 year working directly with and interacting with animals is required.
Understanding of a variety of canine behavior preferred.
Previous customer service experience required.
Previous experience in a lead role in animal care preferred.
1 year prior leadership experience preferred Able and available to work 40
hours per week.
We are open on weekends and holidays so availability to work these days is a must.
A vacation black out period during peak season from May 21 - Sept 14 is included.
