It wasn't until a little past the first decade into the turn of the 1900s when they started producing automobiles.
Studebaker had a great run but pushing into the 60s they were in trouble as sales were declining.
Their E-Series truck platform was dated and to revitalize it and work to boost sales the Champ was born.
The Champ would hang in there until the end of the line for Studebaker in the United States for the model year of 1964.
