Vehicle Description Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this very rare 2001 Ford Bullitt Mustang for sale! Maintained and taken care of throughout its life.
A true show piece bought from McQueen family attorney almost 20 years ago.
With the introduction of the limited edition Bullitt Mustangs put in production in 2001, Ford produced a car that paid homage to the iconic Mustang that paved the way for chase scenes on the silver screen.
This pedigree 2001 Bullitt Mustang was 1 of 4 built SPECIALLY for the McQueen estate.
With the other 3 still owned by the McQueen's, this car is ready to be spoken for.
With only 1,900 miles on the clock it is an investment-grade vehicle having been stored in a climate controlled garage for its entire life.
Signed by Chad McQueen on the glovebox and by lead engineer Scott Hoag on the strut tower.
This car has all the options available in 2001.
Exterior painted in the preferred Dark Highland Green with dark charcoal interior.
It features the Bullitt version 4.
6L V8 under the hood, paired to a 5 speed manual.
Also included with the car is the original window sticker, all factory stickers, build sheets, warranty cards, owners manuals, and a hand written letter of provenance from McQueen's first wife! This is a very rare car that you will not see anywhere else.
For true fans of Steve McQueen, it's the closest thing out there to sitting in a McQueen Bullitt without paying 4 million for the 1968 movie car! This 2001 Bullitt Mustang is for sale through the Indianapolis showroom and can be seen in greater detail including 100
