Vehicle Description Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is pleased to present this Ignition Orange 2008 Pontiac G8 GT.
When the G8 GT arrived in 2008, Pontiac was quick to tell the automotive press that it is (was) the most powerful car available in the U.
S.
for less than $30K (base G8 GT list price was $29,995).
The GT is powered by a 6.
0L fuel-injected aluminum V8, which sends power out back through its 6L80E 6-speed automatic transmission.
This G8 GT features some extra lagniappe in the form of a RotoFab cold air intake, a custom tune by local G8 specialist Pat G, 20 wheels from a 2013 Camaro SS, and Brembo multi-piston brake calipers front and rear, Kooks shorty headers, Pedders adjustable coilover suspension (front and rear), larger front and rear sway bars, new PowerStop brake pads, and Borla exhaust.
As most G8 lovers are aware, these Q-ships came pretty loaded from the factory, with 4-way adjustable power front seats, ABS, limited slip differential, power nearly everything, tilt/tele steering column, double DIN Blaupunkt head unit, dual zone climate control, perforated leather seating throughout the cabin (upgrade option), Alcantara headliner, StabiliTrak traction control, and 51/49 weight distribution.
In fact, the G8 GT outperformed the twin-turbo BMW 335i and Infiniti G37's skidpad performances when equipped with the optional sport package, pulling.
88 g! When it's put through its paces, drivers will be hard pressed to wipe the grins off their faces as they realize what it's capable of.
With its suspension upgrades and custom tune, drivers will be even more pleased in this bad boy - the tune provides softer shifts when in D; but put the gear selector into manual/sport mode, and the shifts are much quicker and firmer, allowing for spirited romps through the twisties.
